CWB SCHOOLS TENNIS PROGRAM GOES FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

Published On: March 21, 2018

March has been a busy month for the Canadian Western Bank School Tennis Program with over 1100 students scheduled to try tennis in the first three weeks of the month alone.

A combination of elementary, junior high and high school students are set to be introduced to the sport in the wonderful surroundings of ATC. Through a structured program of instruction, players have an opportunity to learn various elements of the game whilst competing against their peers in different drills and challenges. Schools come from across the city to take advantage of our facility and our state of the art equipment, with Henry Wisewood High School being one such example, bringing over 500 students to the facility across the past 4 days.

Head of Business Development and Community Outreach, Greig Ewing, stated that ‘it is fantastic to see so many students being introduced to the game in this way. The students are so engaged in what they are doing, helped hugely by our great facility and access to outstanding equipment. We definitely couldn’t do this without the support of our title sponsor, Canadian WesternBank and our equipment sponsor, Head Canada who provide us with such outstanding support’.

The schools program continues to go from strength to strength and we are excited to share this great sport with the next generation of players. We’re looking forward to many more months like March in the coming season.
