The Calgary National Bank Challenger Final Report & Mini Documentary
A month ago today, we concluded the 5th edition of the Calgary National Bank Challenger. Our 5th edition of the Challenger was once again a huge success, delivering industry-leading success on and oB the court. I want to extend my sincerest thanks to our board of directors, ATC members, program participants, team members, volunteers, event partners and supporters who have shown their unwavering support of our event over the past 5 years.
On behalf of the ATC, it is my pleasure to share with you our 2024 Calgary National Bank Challenger Final Report. A mini documentary was shot during the event by Kapia Creative, which highlights life on the ATP and WTA Tours. I hope you will find the documentary interesting. Our fifth edition of the Challenger showcased the ATP and WTA Stars of tomorrow in a thrilling week of world class tennis. Seven of Alberta’s top tennis players had the opportunity to compete in the event this year, including 5 from the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre (ATC). As CEO, I would like to recognize the achievements of our Alberta Tennis Centre (ATC) members Alexia Jacobs, Hailey Murphy, Tyler Waddock, Cleeve Harper and Adam Farag Cao who represented us very well during the event. Cleeve Harper was our top performer, reaching the semi-finals in men’s doubles with Liam Draxl. I also want to recognize our team of coaches who have led the development of these athletes over the past 8 years. Their hard work and dedication have helped pave the way for these athletes to compete in international tennis events. Today, five ATC players (Alexia Jacobs, Sienna Miles, Cleeve Harper, Josh Peck and Adam Farag Cao) have now obtained ATP and WTA world rankings, which is a testament of our Centre’s commitment to tennis development and leadership.
