SUMMARY:YYC Elite League
DESCRIPTION:Building on the success of our Summer League\, we are thrilled to kick off this new season of the YYC Elite League starting November 17th. \nThe purpose of the YYC Elite League is to create a stronger tennis community while players in the city compete in a fun team format for added competitiveness. The level of players in this league will vary from 3.0 – open level\, men and women\, looking for extra competition or for juniors transitioning to college and gaining match play experience\, as well as the younger players looking to show off their skills. \nFew things to keep in mind: \n\n\nAnyone 3.0-open can register (Registration will open October 23rd) \n\n\nWe will require to have 5 captains to draft their own team of all participants who have registered for the league. If you would like to be a team captain please let me know\, or when registration opens\, sign-up as a team captain and not as a free agent. \n\n\nThe price for each weeks match-up will be $30.00 per person for both singles and doubles\, and $23.00 per person for one of singles or doubles. \n\n\nIt is the captains responsibility to have a full line-up the week of their match-up\, if no-one on their team can play\, they must look for a substitute. \n\n\nAll participants do not need to be members\, however\, you are required to have a file at the club with a valid credit card. \n\n\nCurrent Match-Up Dates: \nNovember 17th 6:00 – 9:00 PM \nDecember 8th 6:00 – 9:00 PM \nJanuary 12th 6:00 – 9:00 PM \nJanuary 26th 6:00 – 9:00 PM \nFebruary 23rd 6:00 – 9:00 PM \nMarch 16th (Semifinals) 6:00 – 9:00 PM \nMarch 30th (Finals) 6:00 – 9:00 PM \nIf you are looking for more information regarding the league\, such as the format\, rules\, etc. please have a look under ‘rules and regulations’ on the website by clicking here. \nThe YYC Elite League match-ups will occur on select Sundays from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. DESCRIPTION:The OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre (ATC) launched the SHE CAN PLAY program\, a one day camp\, in the summer of 2021 to improve female participation in the sport of tennis in Alberta. This camp combines technical and tactical instruction in a group setting\, where kids of beginner and intermediate ability levels will enjoy training and competition\, in a state-of-the-art facility. This camp also includes pre-planned breaks for snacks\, and a break for playing other sports with their peers while being supervised by the coaches\, this allows for kids to make friends more easily and create a bonding experience in this fast-paced and activity-filled camp. \nJoin our ATC tennis professionals\, who are excited to help every camper improve and have a great time! Whether your child is interested in learning the game\, improving their skills\, and playing lots of tennis in a group setting\, we have the experience and professional staff dedicated to helping them have the best experience in this camp. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery camper receives Nike Sports Camps T-shirt and other Nike Prizing\nInstruction from the Alberta Tennis Centre Tennis Pros\nExclusive use of State of the Art Tennis Facility\nHalf day Tennis options\nFull day tennis options\nFriday Pizza and Tournament\n1:6 to 1:8 camper to instructor on field ratio\n\n‍ \n\n\nWe offer Spring and Summer Camps for players ages 4-14 in a fast-paced and activity-filled camp. SUMMARY:Interclub Tryouts
DESCRIPTION:The teams will be competing against other clubs in Calgary from late May to August. Each team will be comprised of approximately 10 players. Not every player will be needed for each match. The matches will consist of men’s and women’s singles\, men’s and women’s doubles\, and mixed doubles. All 3.0 team matches are played on Tuesday evenings and all 4.0 team matches are played on Wednesday evenings. \nYou can register for the tryouts online or by calling reception. If selected for the team each player will need to pay a fee (TBD) which is used towards court fees\, balls and the post match socials when hosting home matches.
