Dear Member & Program Participant,

We hope you enjoyed last night's Q&A with Former World #1 and 12x Grand Slam Champion Daniel Nestor.  If you missed it, we are pleased to provide you with a recording of today’s online session.  The link can be found https://youtu.be/YYFBf7ADAFM.

Yesterday evening, the Government of Alberta provided an update to Albertans announcing the easing of some restrictions. Effective January 18th, the following are permitted:

·         Outdoor public gatherings with a maximum of 10 people

·         Personal and wellness services, by appointment only

·         Funeral ceremonies with a maximum of 20 people (mandatory masking and two-metre physical distancing)

Indoor gatherings remain prohibited at this time. As a result, sport and recreational facilities will remain closed for the time being. We remain hopeful that, in the near future, sport and recreational facilities and associated activities will be allowed to resume. We will continue to engage the Government in allowing the safe reopening of tennis and we will provide an update on any new developments that occur.

We will provide a further update next week to our members and program participants. In the meantime, we want to thank you for your ongoing support and patience.

Details from the Government of Alberta announcement can be found here: https://www.alberta.ca/enhanced-public-health-measures.aspx.

Given today’s news, we will continue to credit all programs. Memberships will continue to be charged. However, our membership will have their terms extended to reflect the service interruption. Unfortunately, this closure is out of our control and mandated by the Government of Alberta.

The Alberta Tennis Centre values your continued business and support during this challenging time. While we are disappointed that sport and recreation is not one of the first activities to reopen, today’s announcement is a positive first step. We hope to see you all very soon.
