Dear Member & Program Participant,
This Friday marks our facility’s 4th anniversary of our opening. While, we were planning special activities to mark the occasion, given today’s realities we are simply thrilled to be able to provide outdoor tennis to our members and the general public. We hope our membership and clients are enjoying being back playing tennis in our facility.
While, we recognize that we are one of the first tennis clubs in Canada to be opened, we also fully understand that there is much work to do to regain our full business operations. As such, I have been very busy working with Tennis Canada, Tennis Alberta and a number of club leaders across Canada to leverage the reopening of tennis across the country. A number of meetings with our key stakeholders are taking place to try and convince the Government to allow indoor tennis and programs to resume when it is safe to do so. I have drafted a comprehensive leverage document which will be sent to the Province and City as part of our ongoing efforts to reopen. A copy of the leverage document is included in this memo.
Our team is in the process of producing safety protocol videos as part of our reopening plan. The first video can be found here. We are also working on a second video which illustrates how doubles can resume safely.
A couple of friendly reminders:
· There is no inside facility access to our facility at this time. Once things are gradually relaxed, we will allow the use of washroom facilities and indoor facility access
· The facility is a PARK and PLAY facility, any court time and/or lesson fees must be paid in advance of arriving. Members must have their credit card information stored on our secured payment gateway through Moneris.
· In order to book any court/service at the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre, you must complete the following:
o Acknowledgment of our provisions to opening
o Wellness screening protocols
o Put a valid credit card on file
Now that we are operational, we will be extending your membership by two months. We will be making this change to your membership in the next week or so. The final two months of your membership will not be charged and will serve as a credit.
We will be crediting Adult & Junior Development Programs fees beginning next week. If you were registered for a spring 2020 program, you will have a credit applied to your member account. At this time, we are encouraging those program participants who were registered in our Spring 2020 program to register for the 2020 – 2021 Fall/Winter program and apply their program credit, these include:
· Any Spring 2020 Junior Development Program
· Any Adult Spring 2020 Lesson Pathway Program
Sila Huang can help you with your registration for the 2020 – 2021 Fall/Winter Program. Sila, can be reached at (587) 393 1602 or email@example.com
A decision on the resumption of our HP program pathway will be decided in the next few weeks, our hope is that we will be in a position to conduct some of these programs. If we are not able to, a credit will be applied for each class into your member/participant account.
Fall/winter 2020 – 2021 program registration opens up to the general public On Friday May 15th, 2020. As a member and past program participant, you are entitled to register early to guarantee your spot in our session. Spots are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Finally, we have brought back the following tennis professionals Suzana Cavalcante and Diana Jacobs. They are joined by Nick Coutts, Adam Bond and Goran Zovko. If you wish to book a lesson with any of our tennis professionals, you can reach out to them directly.
We want to thank you for your continued support as we transition out of our COVID-19 facility closure. If there is anything, we can do to make your experience as a member more enjoyable, please do not hesitate to let me know.
