Diana began working in tennis 15 years ago when moving to a small town in Alberta from South Africa. She saw a need for organized tennis activities in her new town and country, and with her passion, dedication, and hard work she grew the club from only a handful of members to more than 180 adults and children actively playing tennis. She instructed all junior and adult programs and continued to promote the community’s tennis participation through running tournaments, leagues and junior events. She grew interest in the sport and so expanded her sought after coaching into neighboring towns.
In 2012, she joined the coaching staff at World Health Tennis Club in Calgary as Tennis Professional and Junior Progressive Tennis Coordinator, where she continued to grow her skills and experience in progressive tennis and U12 competitive tennis. She currently works with a team of coaches to lead and deliver a high quality successful progressive tennis program following LTAD Tennis Canada curriculum.
She currently leads the U10 Competitive tennis program, assists in U12 – U18 High Performance training groups, teaches private and semi-private lessons, and assists with the organization and running of provincial junior tournaments.
Diana has also travelled as Tennis Alberta provincial coach several times, leading provincial teams of U10 and U12 players to compete within the province as well as against BC.
She joins OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre in May 2016 where she is excited to keep working in junior development, continue growing the game of tennis by helping recreational and competitive players move through the Progressive tennis pathway.
Diana currently holds a Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 certification.
